Faculty Profile for Professor Wilson

Texting, videogames, podcasts, and TV shows are all compositions that we regularly encounter but often don't consider "writing." By examining the overlaps between this everyday writing and academic writing, students become more attentive to the relationships between themselves as writers, their compositions, and their various audiences. Students complete smaller assignments that build towards three larger projects practicing writing as a process across a range of genres and media. Students who successfully complete this seminar receive credit for WRIT 103 and satisfy one half of the human thought and expression areas of inquiry requirement.

Noah Wilson specializes in rhetorical theory, digital writing, and surveillance studies. His other interests include intertextuality, social media, and popular culture which he often incorporates into his teaching.
