Fall 2023 Focus:
Explores the nature and process of science through the lenses of natural history and ecology. Students examine the scientific method and the ecological hierarchy (from organisms to ecosystems and beyond), practice observing and describing the natural world, and explore how traditional natural history still informs modern ecology. This course is a mix of lectures, discussion, and guided activities.
