Faculty Profile for Professor Scull

Designed to provide students with a general understanding of the processes and spatial distribution of the Earth's primary physical systems with an emphasis upon the energy – atmosphere system. Students are introduced to the basic physical processes and interactions that drive daily weather and control spatial variations in climate. FSEM 184 serves as an excellent starting point for the wide variety of environmental courses offered at Colgate. Students who successfully complete this seminar receive credit for GEOG 231 and can satisfy the Natural Sciences and Mathematics area of inquiry requirement or the confronting collective challenges or quantitative & algorithmic reasoning liberal arts practice requirement..

Peter Scull is a physical geographer interested in using geospatial tools (geographic information systems and remote sensing) to study environmental change. He also loves to try to make sense of weather maps.
